AFX  stock #?.  Release Date: 1975 (based on timeline shown in 1979 catalog) or 1976 (from Bob Beers Book).  Chassis material: Lexan Plastic.  Magnets:  Ceramic.  No separate traction magnets.  Motor magnets did double duty.  Independent front wheels, sponge slicks.   Generation 1 had a non removeable rear axle setup (without removing the wheels,  while generation 2 had an open snap in rear axle setup which carried forth for every newly developed chassis.
