1.5. AFX Racemasters stock # 21029.  Release Date: 2015.  Chassis material:  Nylatron.  Traction Magnets:  Neodymium. 1.5” wheelbase.  This is the second iteration of the Mega-G chassis.  It builds on the earlier version but is improved with lower traction magnets, a can motor for greater reliability, a redundant electrical path to the motor, redesigned pickup shoes and a lighter chassis. They had a 7 tooth pinion and 25 tooth crown gears. The small ciruit board contains capacitors that are designed to cut down on the RFI (radio frequency emissions) as required by the FCC in 1015. The FCC required this be done and stopped all sales of the MG chassis which is why the MG+ was designed.  It will fit most of the previous bodies (except the formula and LMP bodies).  NOTE:  This chassis runs best when using a 120 ohm controller.  The older 70 ohm controllers for the Mega-G cars will not be as sensitive for this chassis.  Photo ©2015 RACEMASTERS, INC.   Traction Magnets ARE interchangeable between the Mega G and Mega G+ chassis regardless of the size of the chassis (short or long).

1.7.  AFX Racemasters stock # 21023.  Release Date: 2015.  Chassis material:  Nylatron.  Traction Magnets:  Level 30 Neodymium.  1.7" wheelbase.  This is the third iteration of the Mega-G 1.7" chassis.  It builds on the earlier versions but is improved with lower traction magnets, a can motor (FN20) for greater reliability,  redesigned stronger pickup shoes with a redundant power path to the motor, high carbon content brushes,  guide pin moved forward and a lighter chassis.   The small ciruit board contains capacitors that are designed to cut down on the RFI (radio frequency emissions) as required by the FCC in 1015. The FCC required this be done and stopped all sales of the MG chassis which is why the MG+ was designed.   This chassis will fit most of the former long wheelbase Mega-G bodies with the exception of the formula cars and the Audi LMP cars.  The new formula bodies will fit the older Mega-G 1.7 chassis.
